The GNM team is proud to announce the deployment of two fully protected DWDM rings, now linking key locations across Central Europe. Both routes originate in Frankfurt, with one passing through northern Germany and Poland, and the other through Austria and Slovakia. Key Points of Presence along the routes include:
- Frankfurt (Equinix FR5; DRT FRA15)
- Berlin (Speedbone)
- Stuttgart (EXA Edge DC)
- Munich (EXA Edge DC)
- Warsaw (Equinix WA1)
- Katowice (4DC)
- Prague (CE Colo DC7)
- Vienna (DRT VIE1)
- Bratislava (Sitel)
This expanded network delivers connectivity and capacity services, with available ports in 10G, 40G, 100G, and 400G, ensuring robust, scalable connection.
- GNM-IX Internet Exchange: Connecting over 580 ASNs, with 8.7 Tbps peak traffic load.
- Capacity (Wavelength, L2VPN, VLAN): Scalable transport solutions on a 15,000 km DWDM backbone.
The ring-based structure enhances full redundancy, ensuring seamless rerouting during channel failure, which minimizes downtime and optimizes network resilience. The newly launched Prague and Bratislava PoPs play a crucial role in handling traffic from Eastern Europe and the Balkans, completing the fiber infrastructure in the region.
